FLOW DAY, TOO!

Flow Day is momentous. It's a scheduled, minimally planned, semi-spontaneous, as-it-happens, in the moment, creative experience with the intention of catalyzing collaboration and community through imagination and play.

MAGIC IN THE MUNDANE

Flow Day began in the late 90's when I would get together with artist Adofo Ghani and hold in-studio creative jam sessions into the 'wee small hours of the morning', as Frank called 'em. We broadened these sessions into Flow Day sessions and invited creatives of all types to come make imaginative messes and play.

The first official Flow Day happened on June 11, 2016 at Ed Vincent, Jr. park (Centinela Park).  Neighborhood natives, artists and passers-by attended our impromptu picnic and drum circle jam. The tone of the experience attracted a hawk who grooved with us til the sun went down.

FLOW DAY, Too!

This Flow Day is co-hosted with the Joy Fanatic Foundation, Terrance McClain's mission to provide space, support and permission for all to experience joy and play. His mission aligns with Flowskool's vision of creative education through play.

Even I'm wondering what this collaborative concoction may bring our way!
